Qualifying
You will officially declare your intention to run by completing a form and paying a fee during the following times. The process is called “Qualifying”.
Partisan offices will qualify in April with either the Republican or Democratic party, and those offices will be on the General Primary ballot on July 20, 2010.
Starting Date: Monday, April 26, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
Ending Date: Friday, April 30, 2010 at 12:00 noon
Nonpartisan offices will qualify in June, and those offices will be on the General Election ballot on November 2, 2010.
Starting Date: Monday, June 28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
Ending Date: Friday, July 2, 2010 at 12:00 noon
Accepting Campaign Donations
Before you can accept any money from contributors you must file a Declaration of Intention form called a D.O.I. Please call our office for more information 770/528-2581 or click here to link to the State Ethics Commission.
